Job Title: Service Technician

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Service Technician is responsible for providing repair, maintenance and support of Sugino products and machines at various customer locations and at SCP facility. Service Technicians are also responsible for monitoring service calls, maintaining the appropriate reports and documentation required for each service call, suggesting modifications of Sugino equipment, instructing customer personnel in the operation of Sugino equipment, in addition to providing training and support to other Service Technicians.

Primary Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-call technical phone support and field response to equipment and customer issues
  • Perform any preventative maintenance as requested by the customer to ensure optimum operation and a minimum down time of machines and equipment
  • Perform emergency service at the customer's locations as needed to ensure the full functionality of Sugino equipment
  • Provide required service documentation relating to all functions performed
  • Provide technical support and training for the end user relating to the operation of Sugino equipment
  • Provide support and training to other Service Technicians in the department
  • Gain new service customers by reaching out to other companies and providing technical information on Sugino services
  • Other duties as assigned

Special Position Requirements:

  • Domestic and international travel as required by the customer
  • Travel most weeks, Monday through Friday, and possibly on the weekend and/or holidays
  • Be available and on-call 24 hours per day
  • Interact professionally with customers and suppliers who may, occasionally be difficult to deal with Resolve conflicts while keeping relationships in tact
